Nothing Will Keep this Kid Down

by Allison @ Alli 'n Son on October 3, 2009

It’s been only 5 days since Eli’s cast, and he’s been such a good little guy about it. I swear, we’ve been blessed with the most mild-mannered, easy-going little boy in the world. As wonderful as that sounds, it’s sometimes hard to know when something is wrong, because he just doesn’t complain that much (whining is another story). Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining!!!

I thought that Eli would eventually get sick of having to sit all day long. He’s so used to running every where, I thought it would be torture for him (and us) to have to stay in one place. Sure we have tons of stuff to keep him busy. Books, blocks and trucks. Colors, bubbles and shape sorters. Just about every toy that you can think of. But who doesn’t get bored just sitting around all day? I know it would drive me crazy about just a few hours.

So I really shouldn’t be amazed that Eli has already figured out how to get around the house, without actually walking. If he’s not rolling from place to place, of course giggling at the top of his lungs, he’s doing his patented push-pull crawl. (Well, not really patented, maybe patent pending.) :-) It’s so funny, and he actually gets around pretty well, dragging his gimpy leg behind him. I snapped a few photos before bed time. Enjoy!
