It finally came, the first snow storm of the season, and boy was it a doozy. We’re not just talking a few inches, I’m talking an honest to goodness blizzard. Schools canceled. Businesses shut down. Up to 16 inches of snow. Yup, that’s right, 16 inches. I can’t even remember when the last time was that we got this much snow all at once. It’s been a long time.
So Eli and I holed up for the day. Dad-oo took my car to work (4-wheel drive) and we didn’t want to venture out in his tiny blue car. So what do you do with a 20 month old toddler on a snowy, blustery day? Lots and lots.
- Organize the stock-up food purchased earlier in the week. And by organize, I mean hide it in a closet, while creating another mess by cleaning out the closet.
- Wrap Christmas presents. Or at least 2, before the kiddo ran off with the ribbon and started pulling gifts out of the baskets that I was making.
- Run outside in the snow of course! This was Eli’s first snow as a toddler (he was too young to really enjoy it last year). And by run, I mean Momma carried him from place to place because he didn’t want to walk. But he had fun making snow angles and getting buried up to his waste.
- Enjoy a nice, luke-warm glass of chocolate milk. That’s what I’m calling hot chocolate, otherwise he won’t drink it because I said “hot”.
- Watching a few “classic” cartoons on Cartoon Network. Bugs bunny is still one funny rabbit!

Oh we haven’t had a big snow this year. Sure looks like your big boy had fun! I can’t wait to take my 18mo old out for his “1st” experience making snow angels and throwing snow balls. Too fun!

@Kasey @ All, It’s so fun to see there little faces when they experience something new. It makes it that much more fun for mommas too!
