It’s birthday week at the Alli ‘n Son household. The kiddo is turning 2 years old (yes, the terrible twos are in full swing). To celebrate, we’re doing a week of giveaways.

It’s official, spring is here. Thank goodness. I’m pretty sure that I would not have survived one more week of the cold, snowy weather that plagues us for months on end.

With the warm weather of course comes the sun. Warm and comforting it makes those Spring and Summer days so enjoyable. With all of the outdoor activities available, it’s important to make sure that our kiddos are protected. Sunburn, over-exposure to sun, and unprotected exposure and no laughing matters. We need to protect out little one’s skin (and our own for that matter).

Baby Banz recently sent me one of their fabulous products to review. I loved both the Ski Banz and the Swim Goggles, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on their bucket hat. With so many colors and patterns to pick from, it was actually a pretty difficult decision. Finally, we went with the brown camo pattern.

One thing that I love about this hat is that it is made from 100% Cotton, a Poly-Cotton Blend PF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) with a rating of 50+ and will block out more than 97.5% of UVA and UVB Rays. I can’t stress how important this is. Imagine that just by wearing this hat, your kiddo is protected from the sun. Plus the cotton is breathable and comfortable, important for those hot July and August days.

While all of that is super important, it won’t do any good if the kiddo won’t wear it. No problem there! He LOVES this hat. In fact, he often parades around the house, or at Target, proudly wearing his hat. Sometimes paired with his Ski Banz too. Since the hat is adjustable, it will last him for years. Assuming that he doesn’t wear it out from use sooner.
