Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

by Allison @ Alli 'n Son on April 26, 2010

Before I forget, because I will forget, here’s a HUGE thank you to all of my guest bloggers last week. You gave me a much needed break. Now I’m back, and I’ve realized how much i heart blogging.

Oh, and don’t forget that I have a giveaway going on for Yoplait Greek Yogurt.

While I’m in the middle of my gluten-free detox, I’m dreaming of these cookies. Not only dreaming, but drooling. Opening. It’s gross. So while I can’t enjoy them right now, I thought that you might. (Yes, this is a recipe I posted a while ago, but it’s so good, and I’m so craving them, that I wanted to share it again).

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Baked Cookies

2 cups flour
1/3 cup [amazonify]B001K2HWNU::text::::cocoa powder[/amazonify]
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt (I don’t normally include this)
1 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
12 oz chocolate chips – [amazonify]B001K2FUNY::text::::dark chocolate are best![/amazonify]

Cookie Dough

Preheat oven to 375º. In a small bowl combine flour, [amazonify]B001K2HWNU::text::::cocoa powder,[/amazonify]baking soda and salt (if using). In a large bowl cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and almond extract Gradually blend in the flour mixture. Go slow or you will have a flour explosion! Stir in the [amazonify]B001K2FUNY::text::::chocolate chips.[/amazonify] Drop by heaping teaspoonful onto cookie sheet.

Ready to Bake!

Bake for 8-11 minutes. I like my cookies chewy, so I bake them for 9 minutes. If you prefer crispy cookies, back them for 10-11 minutes.

Is that a Pampered Chef scoop? I heart my Pampered Chef scoops! And I heart anything chocolate (currently enjoying a mouthful of rosebuds), so I can’t wait to try this one out.

And I was so pleased to be a guest! Thanks again.

@Christine LaRocque, It is Pampered Chef. I love it. It makes the perfect bite sized cookies. I can eat 10 of them and not feel bad. :-)
