Dear Thank You Journal,
All things considered, this was a pretty good week. Well, except for the rain and cool days. But still, I’m not going to complain.
Much.
This week was filled with potty success (for the kiddo, not me. I’m still learning). This included going potty in the middle of his gymnastics class. That was a HUGE accomplishment.
Then, he went poop on the potty. All. By. Himself. I didn’t have to ask or beg or bribe. Although he did get a HUGE piece of chocolate after. I don’t think I’ve ever been so proud of him. Seriously. Is that weird?
I’m super, extra thankful for 2.5 solid days to myself. Yes, completely. To. My. Self. There will be new hair styles, massages, yoga, sleeping and over indulging. And quiet. Ahhhh, quiet. I’m giddy about it.
Of course I have to be thankful that in two short weeks the the iPhone 4 is coming out. I’ve been waiting since the very first generation to get one of these babies. And now my dream is almost here. And you can bet I will one of tons of people bogging down Apples web site on June 15th to preorder. I’m NOT missing out on getting this phone. As. Soon. As. Possible.

@Corinne, That is by far the thing I’m most thankful for.
Time alone? What is that like??

@Maria @BOREDmommy, Ha! I’ll tell you all about it next week.
2.5 solid days all to yourself? Where does one go to purchase such luxuries?
@ck, At the Mother-in-Laws R Us. She would do just about anything to take the kiddo for a weekend.
Sweet bliss!! Time to yourself, well we can’t wait to hear all about it!

@Christine LaRocque, I’m already enjoying it and I’m only 3.5 hours in!
I’m with the others: happy about the potty success, super psyched about what sounds like a weekend away? Enjoy, Allison!

@Kristen @ Motherese, It’s actually a weekend home. Hubby took the kiddo to his parents house.
I am wicked jealous about the poo-poo in the potty!! I’m at the point where I’d give my left arm for one of those!
Have a great time on your getaway! I’m getting away this weekend too and it’s so exciting!

@TheKitchenWitch, I couldn’t believe that he pooped, all on his own. He’s done it 3 more times since then.
Enjoy your weekend away too!
We sat on the potty today. And we threw in some toilet paper for good measure. I’m thankful for that, though I’ll be even more thankful when pee or poo goes in, too. =>

@Stacia, Hey, it’s a start. Make it fun in the beginning, that why it won’t seem like such a chore when you get serious about it.
I’m right along side you with the potty training thing. I’m going full force now that summer is here with my almost three year old daughter.
I’m so jealous of the 2.5 days to yourself. As much as I adore my kids and hubby I’d LOVE two days to myself!
Good luck with the potty training and enjoy those days to yourself!

@Melissa@SimplyMel, Good luck to you too! I hope it goes smoothly and that you…er your daughter…is diaper free soon.
Congrats on the potty success! That is HUGE!
And 2.5 days? Crazy. I’ve only had one night in 3 years without my girls. I can’t imagine what that feels like. I hope you soaked it in! I might just have to link up next week!
@Christie@MommyDrinksBecauseYouCry, This is actually the second time in 2 months that I’ve had this time to myself. Thank goodness for in-laws who jump at any chance to see their grandson.
