Fave Links

I just LOVE Seth Godin’s take on finding creativity, and not letting it find you.This can be applied to just about any area in life.

Mama Kat’s plea to get on the Ellen Show is hilarious. But the best one was her lip syncing. It truly is a lost art.

From the witty Mofthesea {a.k.a the Twitter bully}, Reason #69 why she is a crap mom.

This is the most powerful post I’ve read all week. It’s long, but so worth it. All That You Can’t Leave Behind by Mommy Wants Vodka. {Thank you to @ChloeJB from In These Small Moments for sending this post my way.}

Finally, the post with the sweetest comments this week from yours truly: Feeling Whole Again

What was the best thing you read all week?

The best article that I read this week was on Huffington Post. It was called “Why Relationship Failures are Good for You” by Douglas La Bier. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/douglas-labier/why-relationship-failures_b_684592.html
He recommends a relationship inventory to figure out what you can learn from each past romance.

I feel like my whole blog is a kind of relationship inventory, with my ex, my kids, myself. It was insightful for me to think of it that way.

I just read the article, there’s a lot to take in. I do totally agree that each and every past relationship sticks with you and forms who we are today. There are still days when I think back to lost relationships, some fondly, some not-so-fondly. Their memories are still with me, even if the people are not.

I wonder if Mama Kat will ever get on Ellen? Maybe she should pass around an Internet petition :)

I happened to catch Nichole’s tweet about that same link, and I’m with you too, what an incredible story. What a strong and determined woman (Mommy Wants Vodka).

I also really enjoyed this post: http://mommyhoodnextright.blogspot.com/2010/08/i-owe-that-mom-apology.html
And I could relate — it’s about seeing things in a new light when we become parents and cannot judge others as severely as we used to :)
