Do you ever swear that you will do something, and then suddenly days, weeks, months have passed? They are always on the list of must-do things, important things, but somehow they never make it to the top. So they just sit there, taunting you. Making you feel guilty for yet another thing that you just can’t seem to accomplish.
Things like making birthday gifts for people, and finishing them before the day, not after.
Finishing the thank you cards craft you started with the kiddo.
Sending out thank you letters immediately, instead of uh, never.
Finding, and indulging in, a guilty pleasure TV show.
Organizing the giant, GIANT pile of papers that are taking over the kitchen and threatening to cover us all in a paper avalanche.
Updating my recipe page.
Well, in a rare moment the other day, with both boys napping, at the same time, I found myself with a couple of uninterrupted hours to myself.
Now, you could argue that any number of things on my list should have been tackled first. Some of them were, or at least progress was made. But I choose to spend my time updating and organizing my Recipe page. Because I wanted to. So there.
It was not an easy task. It turns out that I’ve been meaning to update it for 6 months now. 6 months worth of recipes, 2-3 a week. I didn’t do the math to see how many recipes that is, it scares me a little.
So, it’s all updated now. And a few of the recipes have new photos, and I’m in the middle of updating all of the recipes with the ZipList plugin. Because it’s awesome, and it makes it so much easier for all of you to print them out.
Hang in there with me while I work on updating the rest of the recipes. But in the meantime, here are a few from the past that you may have missed.
As for everything else on my list. I’ll get to it. Someday. So if you happen to receive a thank you note from me 6 months late, I’m sorry. But at least I finally got around to sending them, right?
Is there anything on your to-do list that you just can’t seem to actually do?
