Sweet Tooth Friday: Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer

by Allison @ Alli 'n Son on December 1, 2011

Last week on Sweet Tooth Friday I shared my lastest addiction. Peppermint mocha muffins. It was a labor of love to get the recipe right, but I did.

But, I couldn’t just stop there, now could I? These muffins needed something to join them in the morning. Muffins aren’t breakfast alone, unless paired with coffee. Am I right?

Of course I am. Actually, any breakfast isn’t breakfast without coffee.

Taking my handy-dandy base for coffee creamer, I’ve added to my recipe collection which already includes Pumpkin Spice, Chocolate Almond and French Vanilla. Please welcome Peppermint Mocha coffee creamer. It’s like Starbucks, only easier.

Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still be enjoying Peppermint Mochas from Starbucks, I can’t go the season without one, or 10. But this is a great option when the craving strikes and I can’t leave the house. Or don’t want to, because it’s just too flipping cold outside.

By the way, it’s in the 30′s here, and if that’s already too cold, I’m in trouble once January comes around. I’ll have to keep plenty of this creamer on hand to make it through.

Hi there!

I am sharing my egg replacer / egg substitute recipe. It’s not sweet in and of itself, but I thought it would be really helpful for all the baking folks who read your site.

Hope that’s OK.

Take care,
~Adrienne

Your creamer sounds lovely – and so nice to have a treat like that just waiting in the fridge! I’ve shared an easy slice and bake cookie recipe that can be made so many different ways, and you can even slice and bake the cookies from frozen. Thank you for sharing your recipe, and for hosting.

That is genius! GENIUS! I tell you! You have just saved me $50. I love me some peppermint mocha from Starbucks, but I like cash in my wallet better. :-)

Love the idea of a creamer and not just a mix for hot chocolate because sometimes you want your coffee to have a more christmas flavor! This looks and sounds delish!

My daughter sends her unending gratitude! She loves flavored creamers – but they don’t always fit in the budget! Now she can make her own. Thank you!

I hope she enjoys them! I must say, they are even better than store-bought. :)

This is seriously weird. I have found your website through a bunch of different blog hops. Out of 100 people, I almost always click on your blog without even knowing it’s you!

Anyway, I am so excited to try this recipe. I’m obsessed with peppermint mochas and was about to splurge on some peppermint syrup from Starbucks because I couldn’t replicate this just with cocoa and peppermint extract. I’ll be trying this tomorrow if I have some extract in the cabinet!! (fingers crossed)

I made this. Yum! I didn’t make my own sweetened condensed milk, so I used one can of it and it was pretty sweet. I could have added more cocoa, too. But O.M.G. It tasted like the real thing. I linked up to it on my blog post this week. It’s that good! I’m actually drinking it iced now. Next I have to make the muffins…
