Welcome to Sweet Tooth Friday, a day devoted to all things sweet. Feel free to drool over today’s recipe, link up your own sweet recipes, and visit a few of the other sweet, sweet recipes shared by fellow bloggers.
So…I’m in training mode. As in I just signed up to run a half marathon and only have 8 weeks to train.
YIKES.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been running for some time now. But 13 miles? Not so much. 9 miles, sure. But that’s still 4 miles short of my goal.
Like I said, YIKES.
Unfortunately this means that I should probably lay off the sweets for a while and instead stuff myself full of all things carb.
I know, I know, it’s a sacrifice. But I’m willing to make it.
Chocolate chip cookies are considered a carb, right?
Good thing I have the best iced coffee in the world to help push me through my runs, and some extra time to focus on my blessed life, instead of my aching legs and tired feet.
While I’m out hitting the pavement (hopefully with my feet and not my face), I’ll leave you with these yummy recipes from last week’s Sweet Tooth Friday.

Featured Recipe
Each and every morning I have a huge, giant, overflowing cup of coffee. Which is then followed up with an equally large glass of iced coffee in the afternoon. Sweetened iced coffee, because I need a little something sweet to get me through the day. I’ve just found the next iced coffee to add to my weekly rotation: Nutella Coffee Frappe from Peanut Butter and Peppers. Apparently Jennifer did a lot of testing to get this recipe just right (poor thing!) but I’m so glad that she did. Because I love iced coffee.
Have I mentioned that yet?
The Top Five
- Nothing says summer like s’mores, but sometimes they can get a little predictable. Craving something a little different? How about Reverse S’mores by Carolina Heartstrings.
- Cinnabon fudge? What? I’m a sucker for anything that tastes like a cinnamon roll. Thank you Shugary Sweets for introducing me to this addicting fudge.
- Truffles and healthy don’t normally go together, but Mo’ Betta has a healthy version of Chocolate Truffles and Haystacks featuring…Fiber One cereal. I am very intrigued.
- Bananas are one of the fruits that I’m eating all of the time right now, as I prepare for my half marathon, which is good because that means I can still have this Banana Cream Pie with Golden Oreo Crust from Crazy for Crust.
- Cheesecake, cheesecake, cheesecake, how I love you. This Layered Crème Brûlée Cheesecake from Will Cook for Smiles sounds, and looks, absolutely heavenly. I need to get my hands on one of those mini torches. For cooking purposes only, of course.
