Sweet Tooth Friday, Dessert Recipe Link Up

by Allison @ Alli 'n Son on August 9, 2012

Welcome to Sweet Tooth Friday, a day devoted to all things sweet. Feel free to drool over today’s featured recipes, link up your own sweet recipes, and visit a few of the other sweet, sweet recipes shared by fellow bloggers.

I know. I know. I’m late.

But, I have a good excuse.

I was eating cookies.

Cookies that the kiddo and I made this afternoon. Oatmeal cookies, a recipe from my late grandmother-in-law. Cookies that the kiddo decorated with mini marshmallows, butterscotch chips and chocolate chips.

So, you can understand why today’s link up is a little late. Right?

And also, I was making banana bread, while digging through the freezer for the last Peanut Butter and Banana Mini Cheesecake.

It was a baking kind of day.

Featured Recipe

Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pancakes

Every year Hubs treats the boys to a special birthday cake. The pancake cake. It’s simple really. Layer upon layer of pancakes and jelly-infused frosting. All topped off with…more frosting. Obviously. Well, I think that for their next birthdays we are going to have to take it up a notch. Chica Chocolatina Bakeshop has totally inspired me with her recipe for Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pancakes.

Oh yea. I can totally see us adding a little frosting to these beauties. Hmmmm……perhaps cookie dough frosting would be a good match.

The Top Five

  1. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve craved a thick, gooey chocolate chip cookie late at night. Well, I may just have to give Picture Perfect Cooking recipe for Deep Dish Gooey Cookie Pie a try next time a craving strikes. So rich and delicious, it just may satisfy my cookie cravings for while. Like, maybe a day.
  2. Why is it that cookies never taste as delicious as the cookie dough? It’s a mystery. Good thing Cookie Dough Ice-Cream Cake exists. Thank you, Melissa’s Cuisine for making it okay to eat cookie dough. And ice cream. At the same time.
  3. Normally I’m not a big fan of coconut, but this Caramel Drizzle Freezer Pie by Simply Sweet Home has me thinking that I should give coconut a second chance. Perhaps even a third and fourth chance.
  4. Chocolate and peanut butter are by far one of my most favorite flavor combinations. Of all time. So I’m totally in love with these Peanut Butter Fudgsicles from Crazy for Crust.
  5. Chocolate Monster Cookie Pie? Um, you don’t even have to ask. It’s welcome at my house any day. Any time. I’m not picky.

Note: To be featured you must link directly to a recipe post and you must link back.

Hi superb blog! Does running a blog like this require a massive amount work?
I have no understanding of computer programming but I was hoping to start my own blog in the near future.
Anyhow, if you have any ideas or tips for new blog owners please share.
I understand this is off subject however I just needed to ask.
Kudos!
